with mission and has sent out missionaries to the world,
presently through International Ministries.

The American Baptist Home Mission Societies
assists those in need in within the USA.

As an American Baptist Church, we participate in giving
to four major offerings to assist those in need.

American Baptist Churches USA receives donations for the following:

One Great Hour
of Sharing (OGHS)

Disaster relief and redevelopment. 100% of donations go to relief efforts in the USA and Puerto Rico. No dollars are retained for administration costs.

A large percentage of AFC supports our American Baptist Churches, New York State ministries.

AMERICA FOR
CHRIST OFFERING
2016

The America for Christ Offering 2015 theme - "Discipleship: Becoming More Like Christ." For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

America for Christ offering touches communities with programs such as:

"Feed My Sheep"
- a free soup kitchen.

Neighborhood Action Programs

"Building Bridges"
- providing moving services, family Christmas baskets, education on domestic violence.

Chaplains and pastoral counselors in hospitals, prisons, counseling centers and churches.

Placement of volunteers in US and Puerto Rico

Grants supported youth summer jobs outreach programs to teens, senior adults and the unemployed.

World Mission Offering (WMO)
 

Supports American Baptist Churches related missionaries and mission centers worldwide.
WMO is organized by American Baptist Churches International Ministries (ABIM).

Organized in 1814, ABIM is the first Baptist mission agency formed in north America. Over 1800 missionaries are served through International Ministries.
